Meeting people where they are.

Who We Are

Mount Union Wesleyan Church exists to meet people where Jesus is. We believe that every person has been offered the gifts of eternal life when we die, and abundant life while we live, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is our mission to tell as many people as we can about Jesus and to walk with them through life. There is no person who is too far from God to receive his love and forgiveness. We were commanded by Jesus to tell the world about what He did for us and to make disciples.

God has gifted us with the ability to think, reason, and learn. We believe that it is our responsibility to learn about God, our beliefs, and how faith in Christ intersects with everyday life. We offer weekly and short-term opportunities for you to learn and grow in understanding about a life of faith. All questions are welcome.

As a response to the blessings God has given each of us, we gather together to show our love and appreciation to him in the form of worship. Our Sunday morning services each week, and at special times throughout the year, are about us showing our LOVE and respect to God!

Throughout the year and in various ways, we seek to serve our community in the name of Jesus! We hurt with our community when it hurts and we celebrate when our community celebrates. It is our privilege to serve our community in fun and create ways to enrich the lives of all who live here. We want to show the love of Jesus wherever we go. We welcome your input as to how our church can better serve our community.

The Wesleyan Church is an evangelical holiness church. We believe...

  • In the Holy Trinity: God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • That the Bible is perfect word of God, both Old and New Testaments. The Bible contains all necessary information for persons to be saved from sin and live a life of faith.
  • That God has a plan for every person and every family. That plan includes salvation from sin, a life of faith presently and eternal life in heaven for eternity. It is up to each person to choose to follow this plan.
  • That Jesus Christ died on a cross for the forgiveness of our sins.
  • That every believer can be filled with the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
  • That the Church is the body of Christ in the world today made up of all who have accepted Christ as Lord and are living by faith in him.
  • That every person has judgment to face and a destiny that is determined by God’s grace and our response to it.
  • That Christ is coming to earth again.
  • That as followers of Christ we ought to regularly celebrate the sacraments of the Lord’s Supper and baptism of new believers.
